We are focused on starting this initiative in African and Asian countries with Muslim majority populations, or countries with Muslim minority populations. Though assisting Muslims is a priority, non-Muslims must also be included whenever possible because it is central to the message of Islam as a religion of mercy and compassion.

  • If the organization that contacts us serves primarily non-Muslims but Muslims are also part of their community, it is their responsibility to find Muslim local partners to be considered by us.

Inter-faith and inter-cultural collaboration to help those in need regardless of their race, creed (faith), or culture is a foundational principle for The Good Tree Sustainable Development Initiative.

In each country we decide to launch, we will seek strategic partnerships with local charitable organizations focusing on issues of justice for women and youth, and with individuals having the skills and training to complete the skills we will require to work with the beneficiaries we listed earlier. Each in-country team will be comprised of university or college graduates or those in their last year before graduation in the following disciplines:

  1. Business Administration

  2. Law

  3. Agricultural Sciences

  4. Construction/Mechanical Engineering

  5. Education

  6. Counseling and Therapy

  7. Nursing (with psychology training)

No launch of The Good Tree Sustainable Development Initiative shall take place without 1 or 2 site visits to complete a feasibility study (complete with a SWOT, Cost/Benefit, and Risks analyses) that subsequently gives the green light to launch.
